Etikora: What is it?

Shopping with Etikora, a curated marketplace, makes choosing ethically- and sustainably-made products easy. Every purchase supports skilled artisans, uplifts communities in need, and helps combat climate change all while honouring our planet. The main challenge you will have, is to resist temptation to buy everything. You know the mantra: Buy Less, Buy Better.

At Etikora, they believe that ethical and informed shopping is a powerful step towards not only buying better, but also to a better future. Their mission is to connect conscious consumers with community-driven initiatives and service providers who share a commitment to sustainability and fair trade.

Whether you’re looking for eco-friendly skincare or sneakers made from 100% recycled materials (or anything else from their catalog!), you can be sure that they’ve done the research to ensure as far as possible that the the supply chain prioritises fair treatment, equitable profits for producers, and minimal environmental impact.

Etikora was founded by CEO Ian Forrester, whose lifelong dedication to ethical business has led him to create a marketplace free from the greenwashing that dominates the industry. It exists because they believe in a future where sustainable, fair-trade products are the norm, not the exception. By shopping from Etikora, you’re helping to make that future a reality.

Etikora: How Sustainable is it?

Headquartered in the UK, Etikora is dedicated to avoiding greenwashing and ensuring that every brand they partner with meets its ethical and environmental standards.

All potential partners submit a Brand Partner Agreement, which details their commitment to sustainability, before being accepted onto the platform. This includes a strict policy against single-use plastics, animal cruelty, labour exploitation, harmful chemicals, excessive packaging, and mass production.

Additionally, 90% of the food products on their platform are certified organic, and over 70% of products from their brand partners are made from sustainable materials.

Founder Ian also runs a UK charity, and a percentage of Etikora’s profits are donated to support its mission.
