VILDNIS: WHAT IS IT?
Vildnis promises a stylish collection you’ll call on time and time again. The focus remains on curating a line of key pieces to form the perfect day-to-night capsule collection.
You’ll find oversized tee’s, jeans and sweatshirts alongside modern jumpsuits, beautiful print dresses and statement cover ups. Dress up a black pencil skirt with a floral print blouse for a casual office look, then switch the top for a silky vest for drinks. Kick off your trainers after a day out in the black boilersuit, strap on some heels and you’re ready for a night on the tiles.
Vildnis offers bold prints, stylish cuts and an impressive attention to detail. The brand is determined to disrupt the fast-fashion industry with clothing that’s made with respect for people and the planet. It promises to make clothes that look and feel good season after season – and at a price tag that won’t break the bank.
VILDNIS: HOW SUSTAINABLE IS IT?
Vildnis are working towards being a fully-transparent brand. It holds itself accountable to a triple bottom line that includes social, environmental and economic factors.
The brand regularly audits its supply chains. Both the Portuguese and Indian factories hold a SEDEX certification and are audited yearly by independent auditors to ensure compliance with Vildnis’ ethical code of conduct.
After every visit, there’s a detailed report of the factories’ successes and what needs improvement. The most recent audits show workers at both factories are earning above the regional living wages.
When it comes to the environmental issues, Vildnis champions the use of sustainable materials such as organic cotton, Tencel and recycled fabrics. All packaging and labels are made from recycled materials and all transportation and courier journeys are carbon offset through Climate Care.
Building the business without seeking outside investment, the founders aim to grow the business organically to keep ethics at its core.
Vildnis also know the importance of only using real women in their photography. They won’t use a model below a UK size 10 on their website and don’t retouch the final images. Hear hear!
